We live in a system of transits!
Epigenetics is the science of understanding how environmental and behavioral influences can alter our genetic expression. Transits offer a unique epigenetic context, permitting us to reprogramme ourselves in ways ranging from dietary behaviour to physical presentation. These transits are formed when celestial entities occupy positions that align with those existing at the time of our birth; recorded on our natal charts. As these bodies journey through space-time, they initiate striking connections with our long-ago imprinted coordinates. An aspect effectuated by such encounters is often referred to as a "transit" in astrology.
Understanding planetary transits can help make sense of our lives. As a planet moves through the sky, it interacts with the positions of the planets recorded in your birth chart. This interaction is known as a transit or passage and it can last from a few hours to even a few years! When a transit becomes 'exact', this means that the moving planet has reached the exact degree, minute, and second as the planet at your time of birth. Some planetary transits can even become 'exact' three times due to retrograde motion: when the planet passes over the point once, then goes backward before returning to its original course and crossing again. With each transit comes an energetic influence, allowing you to better understand how the cosmos affects your life.
